Sam Gill - founder
Sam is the founder and CEO of Pure Carbon Zero, an organisation dedicated to the reduction of climate change and creation of a low carbon economy. Pure Carbon Zero provides solutions to government, businesses and individuals to measure and manage their carbon footprint and engage employees, stakeholders and individuals to fight climate change.
Prior to founding Pure Carbon Zero, Sam Gill was a co-founder in a hotel company in the UK managing relations with large corporate and government accounts, he instilled the green ethos into the organisation. Sam graduated from university with BA Hons Business and Marketing and spent time working within FTSE and NASDAQ listed companies in marketing and product management.
Since the birth of his daughter it has led him into the direction of working towards a cleaner world for the next generation and beyond. It is his passion for the environment and business that has made him the number one choice for his clients to provide them with a carbon management solution.
Russel Pearce - Energy Assessment Director
Russel is a highly qualified professional engineer with over twenty years building services and energy management experience. Russel has spent the previous ten years working on a consultancy basis covering all aspects of energy efficiency and low carbon technology - particularly renewable energy sources.
He is a technical consultant and manager with strong inter-personal skills and self reliance with ability to prioritise and time manage workloads effectively.
He is a pro-active organiser with emphasis on a total quality approach involving staff, suppliers and sub contractors. He is Carbon Trust accredited consultant, listed on the CIBSE Low Carbon Consultant register and accredited to produce Display Energy Certificates (DECs).
Val Kandola - Training & Client Services Director
Val has a strong HR/ training and customer service background, Val joined us from Fujitsu Services and has worked with Vodafone and other blue chip clients. Over her last 7 years Val has worked in the field of HR and worked closely with all levels of personnel and has undertaken training both internally and externally working closely with directors to understand their requirements.
Her focus on client relationships and management both internally and externally and with her clear and concise feedback and communication has allowed her to excel in her roles. Val has brought a wealth of knowledge into dynamic and every changing environment with very contagious can do and will do attitude.
Meenu Jangra - Finance
Meenu graduated from Oxford Brookes university with an accounting degree and worked for established hotels and serviced apartment operators, her strong experiences in day to day finance managing, designing and setting up fluid and efficient systems to ensure accurate control of finances, her attention to detail and continuous evaluation of future projections and plan enables an efficient department.
The accuracy and time management skills she brings to her role enables her to build a close working relationship both internally and with our clients.
Sam Townsend - Strategic Development Executive
Sam is a young, enthusiastic member of the Pure Carbon Zero team and graduated from Reading University with a BSc in Rural Environmental Sciences in 2010. He achieved this whilst being an International Rower for Great Britain at three Senior World Championships, and winning two Henley Royal Regatta titles. He is currently working with us whilst preparing for the Olympics 2012 in London.
He is a very driven individual who is very used to setting targets, individually and in teams, and works extremely hard to achieve them. Sam is keen to put his in depth knowledge of the Environmental sector into practice. His aim is provide solutions to individuals and businesses to create strategies to help measure and reduce their carbon footprint.
