Offsetting is far the fastest and cost effective method to reducing your carbon footprint to zero and at the same time helping families and communities in developing countries.
Carbon Offset Projects
We encourage anyone who identifies offsetting their carbon emissions as a way to contribute to the fight against global warming, to use our recognised and registered projects.
All of our projects are transparent and at any time you can request to view details and also visit current project sites for a review of how your choice of offsetting project is having a local and global impact.
The projects are selected by vigorous questioning and assessment regarding:
- The project impact on reducing CO2
- How does the offset help you here and now where are your cost reductions
- What is the project life span
- How feasible and cost effective is the project
- Who sponsors these project and how sustainable are they
- Are they registered and recognised
- How the project helps people and their lives
Example - energy efficient stoves in Africa/India
Where the main form of cooking and heating water is by burning wood:
- high levels of C02 are releaded into the atmosphere
- natural resources are burnt
- afforested areas are reduced
The energy efficient stoves are ecological in that they use less wood, the wood that is burnt burns longer and are cleaner in their emissions. Therefore a change like this has a snowball effect on all other aspects of the food and life cycle.
The process of offsetting is very straightforward, allowing you to invest in projects as a direct contribution or through purchasing goods and services via or accredited clients.
We also encourage to take steps to change how much you emit as a person, business or family through changing elements of your life to reduce your own carbon footprint.
